It’s Thursday- in case you forgot ;-)- woot woot!
I have a lovely recipe for cookies that are perfect for any type of day- rainy, sunny, windy, or snowy (for those in the North). This is a twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie that many adore and grandma’s cookies.
Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
- 1 stick and 6 Tbs of butter
- 3/4 C of brown sugar
- 1/2 C of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp of vanilla
- 1 1/2 C flour
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 1 tsp of baking soda
- 1 tsp on cinnamon
- 3 C of Quaker Oats
- 1 C semi sweet chocolate chips
1.) Heat your oven to 350 degrees F
2.) In a large bowl, cream together the sugars and the butter
3.) Add in your eggs and vanilla and beat together
4.) In a separate bowl, mix together the salt, baking soda, cinnamon, and flour
5.) Pour your dry ingredients mixture to the wet ingredients until thoroughly mixed
6.) Add in your oatmeal and chocolate chips and combine all the ingredients together
7.) Create 1.5″ balls and place on a greased baking sheet
8.) Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the bottom of the cookie is golden brown
