I had some awesome feedback about the DIY Herb Garden Post, and wanted to give you an easy idea or two on how to use your herb garden for more than just greenery in your home.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 Ice cube tray
- Fresh herbs (I chose thyme, rosemary and oregano)
- Olive Oil
1.) Pick half a handful of the herb (this will give you two cubes) you’re looking to preserve, wash them, and de-stem the herbs
2.) Place your herbs in the ice cube tray, and fill with olive oil (I used extra virgin organic olive oil, but but you used plain olive oil)
3.) Wrap your tray with plastic wrap and place in the freezer over night
4.) I recommend using your cubes for when cooking chicken. Just throw your cube in the pan, allow to melt, and cook your chicken!
